Special Education
This portfolio is a representation of skills that I have learned throughout the special education program at Texas A&M University. I was exposed to a variety of hand-on experiences including differentiating lesson plans, implementing classroom procedures, and managing non-compliant behaviors. I feel well prepared to use what I have learned to establish my own classroom and help students achieve their full potential.
About MeHowdy! I am originally from Nashua, New Hampshire, but now consider College Station, TX my home. My dad was class of '87 and I have been bleeding maroon since I was born. Special education has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. I love volunteering my time to help those in need and special education is just one way for me to focus on my passions. Not only do I have a passion in special education, but I am also an advocate for animals and I stand up for what I believe in. Special education and animal advocacy both play a huge role in my life and knowing that I am helping those in need for a career fills my heart with joy. My favorite hobby is traveling and I hope to teach across the globe with all that I have learned from this phase in my education!
