Experiences and SkillsMy experiences working with children in an education setting started in 2010 when I began working at a child care center in New Hampshire. I worked with ages from 6 weeks to 12 years old and created activities in ELA, Art, Math, and Science.
During my senior year of High School, I interned in a High School LIFE skills classroom under a Speech Pathologist as part of a Careers In Education program. It was this setting that solidified my passion for special education and encouraged me to make special education my major in college. Through the Special Education program, I have worked with 4th graders in a general education setting creating and implementing lesson plans in math and science. I have also developed and implemented lesson plans for both a resource and LIFE skills setting for all areas. I am also a camp counselor for the Youth Adventure Program through which I work with gifted students in Middle and High school. I am CPR and First Aid certified |
